An opulent Chesterfield headboard on a practical divan base.

The Edmund puts a full Chesterfield headboard — deep diamond pleating, buttoned at every intersection — on top of a straightforward divan base. It is the traditional look without the traditional bedstead.

That combination is genuinely useful. A divan base is easier to get up a narrow staircase than a bedstead with siderails, takes drawers for storage, and gives a firmer mattress platform. You get the appearance of a Chesterfield bed with none of the assembly awkwardness.

What sizes does the Edmund come in?

The Edmund is made in 6 UK sizes, from Small Single (£299) to Super King (£449). Each size takes a standard UK mattress.

Which fabrics and colours can I choose?

Six fabrics in 72 colours: French plush velvet, Delta crushed velvet, Soft Marble velvet, Austin plush, Mayfair linen-look and Teddy bouclé. Free samples are posted out so you can see the colour at home.

How long does delivery take?

Your bed is handmade to order, so allow 3 to 4 weeks. Delivery is free to the UK mainland and we contact you to arrange the day.
