A UK super king mattress measures 180 × 200 cm (6'0" × 6'6"). That is the size every frame on this page is built around, so any standard UK super king mattress fits. The frame itself is larger than the mattress: siderails, padding and wings add roughly 5 to 25 cm on each side depending on the design, and the headboard adds depth at the top.
A super king suits two adults, a restless sleeper or a child who climbs in. For a comfortable room allow about 3.4 × 3.2 m; 3.0 × 2.9 m is tight but workable if nothing opens into the walkway. Our bed size guide covers measuring the room, stairs and doorways.
