A UK small single mattress measures 75 × 190 cm (2'6" × 6'3"). That is the size every frame on this page is built around, so any standard UK small single mattress fits. The frame itself is larger than the mattress: siderails, padding and wings add roughly 5 to 25 cm on each side depending on the design, and the headboard adds depth at the top.
A small single suits a child or a small box room. For a comfortable room allow about 2.1 × 2.6 m; 1.8 × 2.4 m is tight but workable if nothing opens into the walkway. Our bed size guide covers measuring the room, stairs and doorways.

Choose any frame, then choose the fabric and colour: plush, crushed or marble velvet, linen-look weave, matt plush or teddy bouclé, 72 colours in all. On the bed page you can add an ottoman or divan base, drawers, a taller or split headboard, a mattress, and room-of-choice delivery or full assembly. The frame is sold on its own, so you can use a mattress you already have. If you need one, you can add a small single mattress on the bed page, from open coil to pillow top, and it is delivered with your bed.
