A UK single mattress measures 90 × 190 cm (3'0" × 6'3"). That is the size every frame on this page is built around, so any standard UK single mattress fits. The frame itself is larger than the mattress: siderails, padding and wings add roughly 5 to 25 cm on each side depending on the design, and the headboard adds depth at the top.
A single suits one adult, or a child who will grow into it. For a comfortable room allow about 2.1 × 2.6 m; 1.8 × 2.4 m is tight but workable if nothing opens into the walkway. Our bed size guide covers measuring the room, stairs and doorways.

Choose any frame, then choose the fabric and colour: plush, crushed or marble velvet, linen-look weave, matt plush or teddy bouclé, 72 colours in all. Can any of your beds be made as an ottoman?

How much does the ottoman base add?
The slatted gas-lift ottoman adds £219 in every size from Single to Super King, and the metal gas-lift ottoman adds £279. The prices on this page already include the slatted ottoman.
What are the downsides of an ottoman bed?
You lift the mattress to reach the storage, so it suits things you need weekly rather than daily, and you need clear headroom above the bed for it to open. Drawers are quicker for everyday things but hold less.
Is a slatted or metal ottoman better?
Both lift on gas struts and give the same storage space. The slatted base is the lower-cost choice; the metal gas-lift base has a stronger metal-framed platform if you want the sturdiest option.
Will an ottoman bed fit up my stairs?
Our beds arrive in parts and are assembled in the room, so you never carry a made-up bed upstairs. If your stairs or landing are tight, send us the measurements on WhatsApp and we will check before you order.
